Dimitra Petmeza is a writer and director from Athens, Greece. She studied Film Directing at Hellenic Cinema and Television School Stavrakos and Film Studies at Hellenic Open University.
Her experimental film «Salome» (2018), won Best Experimental Film at Karlovac Four River Film Festival.
Her first short film, «Air-Condition» (2023), premiered at Tampere Film Festival 2024 (XYZ competition).
Her short film «The Quiet Weight of Things» (2025), won the Best Female Performance award at Drama International Short Film Festival 2025 (national student).
She has also worked as a cinematographer and camera assistant at various features, shorts and commercials.
She is currently developing her next short film «Twin Cherries» that has already been selected at the Short Film Lab of Linz Film Festival 2025 and WIFT Mentoring Sessions 2025 (Greece). She is also writing her first feature.
