VASILIKI (Billie) VLACHOU (Vee)

ACTRESS

Billie Vee is a Greek / British actor and screenwriter. Born in Athens, Greece under the name Vasiliki Vlachou, she received her degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Athens and was trained in the Art Theatre Drama School (Theatro Technis Karolos Koun). She has worked in film, TV and theatre in Greece, Cyprus and the UK and has been nominated twice for Best Actor in Hamilton Film Festival and St Albans Film Festival. She has written a number of award-winning short films, including Testing Greta, which won the Greeks of the World award at Drama Film Festival and was selected for the BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica film festival. Billie has also created and starred in Sins of Solitude, a web series which was listed in British Comedy Guide. Sparrow’s Call  is her first feature film as a writer, where she stars opposite David Bark-Jones. Sparrow’s Call won the Best Thriller Feature award at the London Independent Film festival and has been theatrically released in Greece by Rosebud 21.  Her most recent theatre credits include: “My Tender Mandator” directed by Anna Vagena at Theatro Metaxourgeio and “Don’t Take the Pith!” directed by Helen Bang at Drayton Arms Theatre.
