
Eliza Soroga b.1988 is an award-winning performance artist & documentary filmmaker from Athens. Working in a Site-Specific manner she explores interdisciplinary methods of re-inventing public space. She holds MA’s in Performance Making (Goldsmiths University of London) and Cultural Theory (National University of Athens).
She was awarded as the Winner in Performance & Video Art on the 11th International Arte Laguna Prize (Arsenale, Venice) and ‘ARTWORKS’ Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Artist Fellowship Program.
Her work has been commissioned by the Prague Quadrennial of Performance design (2023), Ministry of Culture (Greece), Athens & Epidaurus Festival (2018), Togatta Residence 044 | 蔵王町, Japan (2022), City of Athens (2019), and Arts Council England (2013-2017).Her works have been shown at V&A Museum (London), Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture (Edinburgh), 3331 Arts Chiyoda (Tokyo), National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens (EMST), EYE Film Institute (Nederlands), Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (France) and many more.
Eliza is the co-founder of the Performance Architecture School. She works as a visiting lecturer at Central Saint Martins (University Arts London) and University of East London.
