Chara Lianou is an actress, director and screenwriter. She has a BA in Acting, and an MA in Acting and Directing having studied in both Greece and Cyprus. She also holds a degree in Biology having a unique approach to theatre and filmmaking. She speaks English and Greek as native languages, is fluent in French and Spanish and has a basic knowledge of Italian and Russian.
As an actress she has collaborated with Greek and international directors in theatre, cinema, TV series, and commercials. She has voiced animated characters both in Greek and English for TV and streaming platforms. As a theatre director she currently collaborates with the Theatre of the NO, the only English-speaking theatre in Athens.
She has also written and directed the short films “Marble Women” and “Always comes true” (Epidaurus International Film Festival Short Script Award).
