ANNA ANTONOPOULOU

DIRECTOR

She was born in Athens, Greece, and has participated in numerous workshops and seminars on documentary and filmmaking. She has directed eight short documentaries, several of which have been selected for both Greek and international film festivals. Notable works include Cleoniki (winner of three awards, including Best Documentary at the Drama Short Film Festival in 2019), Make Some Noiz (ERT), and Ali and Soraya.

She recently completed her first feature-length documentary, Biko and His Balkan Orchestra, which she co-directed (it was co-financed by the Greek Film Centre and ERT). The film was part of the 27th Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival.

In addition to directing, she works as a production manager or as an assistant director on both short and feature films, as well as on numerous television commercials. 

She is also a board member of the Greek Documentary Association.
