
Mata has studied English Language & Literature along with Film, in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master in Film Studies from University of Kent/UK. Specialized in writing scripts for films, television and other visual media she has taught cinema in Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation. Mata was also an educator in the first digital cinema platform for Greek schools CINEDU, by GFC. The Greek Film Centre funded Mata’s scripts “Acherontas” (dir. Konstantina Papadopoulou) and “Heat me” (dir. Kelly Sarri). She has participated in the 6th Creative ideas Pitching Lab of the 26th Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People with her “Orange Peels” project. She is the vice president of Katerini’s Film Club and a member of the artistic committee of Olympus Festival. Mata is fluent in English and French and she has lived in Sudan (Africa) and England.
