Screenwriter, director, and editor Despina Charalampous lives and works in Athens. Her studies include Architecture and Film & Television Directing, as well as a postgraduate program in Urban & Building Environmental Design. Additionally, she has attended seminars on script development sponsored by the European Union. He has worked as both an architect and a set designer. She writes screenplays for cinema and short fantasy stories. Films she has written and directed have been screened in festivals all over the world and won awards. She teaches Screenwriting and Editing at the Artens school in Athens, having previously taught Architecture at Technical Institutes TEI and IEK. Two of her feature film screenplays have been funded by the EU’s Media Development program. As a lifelong science fiction fan, she enjoys all forms of cinema, but being knowledgeable about modern technology and computers keeps her interested in this genre. Recently, she published her first literary work, From the Sheep’s Side, and she has also contributed to several architectural publications.
