Danae was born and raised in Athens, Greece.
She graduated Athens College in 1993, earned her undergraduate (BA on Theatre Studies, Kapodistrian University), post-graduate degrees (MA in Film & Television Production, University of Bristol, Digital Marketing Diploma, Alba Business School) and started off her career as an Event Producer for big scale international and local cultural & corporate events. In 2010 she joined the TVC and Video production industry, producing numerous TV commercials, digital videos and documentaries, awarded in national and international festivals (Ermis awards, Golden Drums awards). She has attended Ermis Awards’ jury committees and she has tutored at ANT1 Media School for TV & Video Production for three years.
In 2019 she moved to Heretic as Producer & Line Producer. She Line Produced the Greek branch for Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness that was awarded with Palme d’ Or at 75th Cannes FF, Angela Schaenelec’s Music (Berlinale, International Competition 2023), Coky Giedroyc’s musical Greatest Days based on the music of Take That with them as Executive Producers. She is currently producing short animation Ready by Eirini Vianelli, the feature films Kyuka by Costis Charamountanis, selected by Midpoint Feature Launch 2019 and Topos by Elina Panik. Danae is EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) 2022 graduate.
